Happy Howl-a-ween
From Jaxson the Vampire Pug
This is how our apartment spent the day today. We had two tv's going in the living room with separate games on and one muted. Of course some flipping was involved as there are like 4 games on at a time. And we had the computer fired up to check non-televised games. Finally when the Aggie game started we muted both tv's and turned up the radio. Needless to say we were quite relaxed as you can see from my roommie's attire. Overall it was a good day cause Teresa's Beav's and Melanie's Aggie's both won! Now if I could just convince these two to spend EVERY day like this that would be great!

This is my new toy courtesy of Katie. She won it at the fair and being a good Ag, asked me to destroy it for her. After all we bleed maroon around here as all people should. Unfortunately this toy seems to be made of super strength cotton and I haven't been able to rip it up as I would like. However, I will continue to work on it until nothing but the sawed off horns are left. And I'll make sure to take a picture!

I have been having major computer problems. Melanie decided to reformat and install everything for a clean start. This means that the computer has been unavailable for over a week. But she has finally got it back up and I would now like to highlight my adventures of recent history.

Today is the one year anniversary of the day Melanie rescued me from a life on the streets. That's right just one year ago I was a lost little puggie fending for myself on the mean streets of Ft. Worth, TX. Now I spend my days relaxing on the couch, eating 2 square meals a day and demanding belly rubs and treats. It is so great to have found a forever home! I LOVE YOU, Melanie! To celebrate the big day, Melanie took me on an all out Saturday of FUN! We got up extra early and headed over to Austin for the Pug Club Meetup there. When we arrived at Bull Creek there were tons of pugs there, at least 50 or so!
There were little ones, big ones, young ones, old ones, black ones, fawn ones, fat ones but no skinny ones. And Bull Creek is AWESOME! There is like a swimming hole and a shallow creek leading up to it. This picture is of me checking out the minnows that were swimming in the water. I tried to catch them but with no success. Fishing requires patience and I have NONE of that. Anyway, there were tons of pugs to play with chase with! We played by running through the water, across the creek, up the little walking trail, back through the grass, around the shore area and then back into the water. I don't think I really stopped moving for 2 whole hours! I made lots of new friends and I am hoping that Melanie takes me back really soon!
After all the morning fun at the park, we headed home in a round about way. We ended up stopping in Round Top to visit Rebecca at the Antique fair. Since Melanie had helped out early in the week, we wanted to see if she had sold out of all her stuff. Lucky for us, we got to see not only Rebecca, but James and Priscilla also! Plus we walked around and showed me off to all the other people there. I got extra petting in and loads of "he's so cute" comments. After an hour or so there, we headed home and I took a long deserved nap the whole ride. Then I spent the rest of Saturday sleeping on the couch while Melanie and Teresa watched college football and the baseball playoffs. In fact I had to sleep today also just to get my energy back. Overall it was about the BEST weekend I have had so far here at Melanie's. So good, that I can't wait until next year comes along!

I watched the Dodger game with Teresa this afternoon. After the game she loaned me her hat so I could hide in shame. It's so hard to be a Dodger Fan....at least that's what they keep telling me. Then we ordered pizza and sensing weakness I tried to get her to give me a little bite.
Unfortunately, the loss didn't seem to rattle her enough and I didn't get a single taste. Course Melanie was right there enforcing the rules so maybe that's why she didn't share. Hmmm...next time I'll have to make sure Melanie is gone, cause Teresa is a softie! Plus I can snuggle up to her and win her over since she will spend some time at home the next few weeks watching baseball with me!

This is Katie and Brian (and Teresa). I'm not too into the whole human relationship classification, but from what I understand Katie is Teresa's sister. And she is married to this Brian character. Regardless of all that, they are really cool people. Melanie said I had to be on my VERY best behavior while they visited last week because they are thinking about joining the dog owning human club and a pug is on their short list. Of course a pug is on the list, we are like THE BEST kind of dog....small, cute, lovable, loyal and perfect! I did my best and these two really fell in love with me. They actually teared up when they had to leave yesterday. Unfortunately, I couldn't take them to the airport, but I promised to write about them on my blog.....after all, they are like my favorite West Coast peeps! Not too sure when I will see them again, but in my opinion tomorrow isn't soon enough!

Okay, so the Ags ran out of time yesterday....(we never lose you know). I was very disappointed, but Melanie and Teresa were heartbroken. Even the BBQ dinner after the game didn't cheer them up. I on the other hand was very excited after the game cause I got to go out to Rose and Dave's house again. They have a new addition to the family.....two 5 week old puppies named Billy and Buster. We had a great time playing together although they tired out way too quickly for me. I tried not to teach them any bad habits but I might have passed a few along. All in all, everyone (dogs and humans alike) had a WONDERFUL time. Today all my visiting peeps are going away including Julie, my sleeping buddy. I will miss having her let me snuggle up in bed with her, but I promised to come visit really soon. Melanie says our next visit won't be for a few more months but I am hoping for something sooner. Like maybe a surprise visit home for my Rescue Day next week. Hmmmm......doubt I can talk Melanie into that drive, but maybe the family will surprise me with a visit down here! A pug can dream can't he.....
