This is my pal Julie who came to visit me this weekend! I just LOVE her! I wish she could stay longer but alas she has work to go to on Monday. So sad that humans have to work for a living. Us dogs got it easy in life....they feed us, play with us and in return all we have to do is snuggle occasionally!
BTHO Tech
Not too much going on here. Been just hanging out waiting anxiously for the weekend to arrive. You see my extended family is coming to visit me! I will get to see my grandpa and my aunt Julie! They always give me loads of hugs and sometimes I get special treats too! I wish they could move closer to me.....Amarillo is just way too far away! Anyway, back to my story, they are coming to see the Aggies BTHO tech this weekend. I'm not too worried about the outcome of that game, but Melanie seems a little worried. To pump her up about the game, I destroyed a little red raider toy that I had laying around. This is what was left of it after around 5 minutes and 5 minutes after that the toy was in no shape to be photographed. After all, some human kids visit this site and I wouldn't want to give them nightmares!

Give me a P....A.....R......K!!!!!!
I went to the park yesterday! It was good as always. My old friend Sophie was there. Last time I saw her she was my size and now she towers over me like a giant! Why to some dogs get big and others stay small like me? And why aren't there more of the small ones around? Melanie says the small ones are the best cause they can sleep in the human beds, and curl up on the couch next to the humans. But sometimes I wonder if the big dogs are somehow better than the small ones. Hmmmm....deep questions to ponder on a Friday afternoon......

G'day Mate
It was the nicest day outside yesterday. Warm but not hot with a cool breeze. Melanie, sensing that this day was too perfect not to be outside, took me over to the park before dinner. I romped around like I was a young stud again. Breathing in the fresh air. Chasing other dogs around. Taking a dip in the shallow water. Ahhhh.....fall is finally arriving and I am here to greet it with welcoming paws.

Play Date
Today Melanie took me over to visit Maeby the wonderdog! Okay really she was invited to a BBQ over at Doug's and I begged to go with her. First we reintroduced ourselves. Doug gave me a leg up so I could see Maeby eye to eye. After a lively game of chase, I took a water break. The wet spot is from when Maeby put her foot into the bucket and splashed around. That black coat must be really hot in the summers! In between playing chase around the spacious yard, we made sure to keep an eye on the BBQ grill. Some really great smells were coming from that direction! Every once in a while we had to cool off on a time out. The grass is so nice and cool on my belly. In the end, neither of us managed to snag any chicken but there is always next time! My endurance for playing must be low right now cause I got really tired quickly. Luckily, Melanie called it an early evening and took me home after a couple hours. I hereby promise to work on my stamina so that next time we can play for even longer!

PB hold the J
I love this stuff!!! In my Kong, disc, off a spoon....it is all GOOD! Although I hate being sick and having to take medicine, the upside is that I get some PB every few hours! Now if they could only make it so I wasn't so thirsty after partaking in a lick or two.

TB and the Scary Poster Monster
A fairy tale by Jaxson the Pug
There once was a brilliant engineer named TB. She lived in a spacious flat just across the street from a world class university. She toiled every day making new discoveries and pursuing the noble cause of research. One day, TB had an Eureka moment when she identified the secret to arbitrary polyhedra meshes. Pleased with her astuteness she immediately confirmed the results with her trusted and wise advisor. Then she set about the business of sharing her work with the world via a large 5 foot poster with full color graphics. After TB and the poster traveled the globe sharing the great news, the poster retired to a spare closet in the spacious flat. Coming across it one day many moons later, TB decided to dispose of the masterpiece as motivation for her to discover new and better theories. That's when the poster revealed itself as a scary monster and started attacking the brilliant engineer. They struggled throughout the apartment each trying to obtain the upper hand. Slowly, TB started to tire and weaken from exhaustion. The poster, sensing weakness lunged for the final blow. Luckily a brave pug named Jaxson was there to throw his furry body between the battling parties. As the poster lunged, it landed a direct blow onto poor brave Jaxson who retaliated with a fierce growl. Brave little Jaxson surged towards the evil monster biting into it with his sharp teeth. He ripped the scary poster monster into a shredded mesh of paper thus ending the battle. He then rushed to the side of the brilliant engineer to administer aid, while preparing himself to run for help. Luckily, none was needed as TB was perfectly healthy although still frightened. TB hailed brave little Jaxson as her hero and vowed to declare September 17th "Brave Little Jaxson Saved the World" day. The brilliant engineer and the brave little pug went on to live long happy lives, each content to be by each others side in case another scary poster monster ever showed it's evil face again.

TGIF
So this weekend I get to hang with my buddy Teresa! We plan to lounge on the couch watching lots of football and eating tons of treats. Melanie will be away visiting some friends, but she promised not to play with any other dogs while she is away. Peace Out!

Peer Pressure
Melanie took me to the park tonight....FINALLY! I had a great time for about 15 minutes. Then I stupidly followed another dog out into the road. Shame on me! Melanie has a zero-tolerance policy for this offense, so home we went. It is total bummer but it is my fault and I accept full responsibility. Hopefully she won't stay mad for long and will give me another chance tomorrow.

Uh-Oh
Now Melanie is sick! It is really going around. So although I was excited to get back to the park and play with my friends it looks like we will have to put it off again. Melanie has been resting up on the couch which means extra snuggle time for me! Today we watched a movie and then fell asleep for a while. I love naps and taking them with my pal Melanie is the BEST! I wish every day could be like this :-)

A little better...
I am still a little sick. My appetite is back and I have some more energy, but I have developed a cough. According to Melanie it is a really disgusting cough that is a mix between a wheeze, choke and gag. It reminds her of the time I had Kennel cough way back when I first came to live with her. Since this cough arrived on Friday night we decided to lay low this weekend and rest up. We spent hours on the couch sleeping and relaxing. It must have worked because today I feel a little better and my cough isn't so bad. Melanie is going to watch me for another day and if keep getting better I won't have to go to the vet...YEA!!!

Sick
Dear All, I think I am sick. Last night I was feeling iffy and this morning I did not want to get out of bed. Breakfast was not interesting at all and I didn't eat but 1/2 of it. I am really tired so I plan on spending the day sleeping. Maybe I will feel better later. I was really looking forward to going to the park this afternoon, but I suppose we will have to put it off.

Not Invited!
This past weekend Melanie was invited to a family wedding...without me! Normally I would stay with my other roommie or a friend at school, but neither was an option this time. Luckily, Melanie hooked me up with a slumber party at my friend Bruno's in Dallas! We had a blast together even though some of his house rules aren't the same as mine. We ate together, slept together, played together, practiced tricks together, walked together and even chased Cane (his cat) together! When Melanie picked me up, I overheard his mom tell Melanie that I was "high maintenance". I tried to explain that when you are an only dog in a small apartment with only one owner you get used to lots of attention. I even dialed it back a bit while visiting there, but I was a little insecure that Melanie left me so I needed some extra comfort. I'm not sure I'll get invited over to his house again, but if that's the case Melanie will be forced to take me with her and I consider that a winning situation!
