Well after the craziness that was yesterday's rainstorm, I awoke this morning feeling excited to be going to doggie daycare per my usual Wednesday routine. But strangely my expectation was not met. Melanie woke up pretty early and then practically ran out the door for work. Of course she left my usual Kong treat, but I was a bit sad. I wonder why I didn't get to go to see my daycare friends today?????

Scary Thunderstorm

It's rained lots of times since we moved to Houston, but today was like the rain of all rains. I was napping peacefully on the couch patiently awaiting Melanie who was due home any minute (or so I thought). Then this GIANT noise came and went BOOM...I glanced out the window to see all these flashes of bright light. This chaos continued for several minutes and then all the sudden the rain came down. I couldn't even see the street outside the window much less Melanie's car coming. Sadly, this thunderstorm was terrible timing cause Melanie was really delayed getting home. And when she finally arrived I had to pee in the rain!!! I got really wet and then to add insult to injury Melanie said I smelled bad!

Bath Time

I went to a new place for a bath today...it was pretty cool cause I got to do daycare before and after. There was another pug there and we hung out all day! The bath itself wasn't bad either, but I didn't enjoy the dry time very much. Melanie thinks she might let me go back another day for just daycare (or at least that's what she promised me) but it is more money so who knows. All I know is I am exhausted again...must rest up in preparation for the weekend. Melanie and I are going on an adventure Saturday!

Post Daycare

I've been going to doggie daycare a few days a week since Melanie has to work all day long, every single day....why does anyone want to be in the "real" world anyway? Daycare is really great and I LOVE all the dogs and humans there. I get to see all my friends and also get loads of play time in. Plus we go outside for a few hours to play in the yard. Since it's summer time now we also get to play in the pool outside. But all of this activity leaves very little time for napping which makes me awfully tired. In fact when Melanie picks me up I have just enough energy to eat dinner and then play for about 10 minutes. Then I collapse on the corner of the rug nearest the kitchen (Melanie is cooking afterall) for an evening of naps. Sometimes I don't even what to get up for a last trip outside before bedtime.
