Me and My Shadow

So I know people say pugs are "so ugly they are cute", but who knew that my shadow is a reflection of this ugliness. Can you spot the Shrek head?

Cheese Lover

Melanie is feeling much better which is good news for me. Although the bad new is it's Monday which means she is going into work today. If only she had gotten sick on weekdays and then I could have had the best of both worlds. Hmmmmm. On a side note I am doing better with the being left out of my crate while Melanie is out. She left me out 3 times last week (2 short and 1 long) and I didn't make any messes. I just bathed in the sunlight, chewed a few toys, slept on the couch and basically was a "Good Boy". It helped that Melanie left me cheese Kongs to entertain me!

The Essence of Comfort

Melanie is still sick....and yes she went to the doctor today....so we have been hanging on the couch a lot. Melanie started laughing when I fell asleep like this tonight. She claims I was snoring and dead to the world. That is until she snapped the picture and I woke up!

Big News!

Just got word that my Aunt Katie got her acceptance letter to Texas A&M! Go Katie...You Rock!

Weekend Recap

Not much to tell about my weekend. Melanie spent lots of time with me on the couch napping. She has a cold so we had to take it pretty easy. We did make a trip to the doggie park on Saturday. It was there that I a new pug friend! Unfortunately she left shortly after I arrived so we didn't get to know each other enough. I am hoping our paths cross again soon.

Pink tongue

Nylabones are the best thing ever! I chew it for like 4 minutes and then I give it a good lick down. The cycle goes on and on and on. It makes Melanie smile!

Ashley and Me

This is Ashley. She loves me a lot and she comes over to visit me a lot. I just found out that she is moving away from here. This is really sad cause I am going to miss her lots. I hope that Melanie will let me go visit her or that her mom and dad let her come see me. I'm so sad....quick leave me a joke in the comments to cheer me up!

Groomer and the Vet in one day

I spent the whole day at the salon getting all handsome for Melanie. My spa day included a bath using scented shampoo. I also opted for the deep condition. I got a nice brush down afterward, as well as a nail trim. The ladies there are so nice, and I got some "massage" pets as well. When Melanie picked me up, we headed straight for my least favorite place...the vet. Luckily, it was just to pick up some heartguard chews and flea stuff! I didn't even have to go into the "back" room. I did get on the scale though and I am happy to report that I lost 1.5 pounds!

Return to the Park

Today I made my long delayed return to Research park....Melanie has just been too busy to get home at a decent hour and the sunset is too early still. This is a picture of me leading some dogs around including 2 boxers. There were tons of boxers there so odds were I was going to play chase with at least one!



This is a picture of us dogs trying to rescue Chester, the Boston Terrier, from a "sticky" situation. We were all barking and trying to figure out how to save him. Eventually the human put him down, but there were some really tense moments there!

Puppy Bowl III

I made Melanie watch the Puppy Bowl again this year. I thoroughly enjoyed it again, especially the Kitty Halftime Show. I kept running up to the screen trying to play with them. Then I tried to climb behind the tv to see if they were actually hiding back there. I just couldn't find them! Anyway, this picture doesn't show him, but this year there was a puppy called Jaxson! I'm not sure if that's how he spells it but regardless it was pretty cool to root for a fellow Jaxson! He wasn't a pug but not every dog can be as perfect as me! Also, Melanie and I watched the Super Bowl...but to be honest I spent most of it sleeping on the couch. She said I was snoring loudly but how would I know!

Ashley's Visit

Okay so Saturday wasn't exactly like I planned it. The weather wasn't right for the park and I didn't go to Ashley's house, but I did get a new bone and a special treat. Plus Ashley ended up coming over to my house to play! Actually to be truthful, she came over to play with me while the other grown up humans watched the Aggie basketball game on tv. Apparently it was a GREAT game but I wasn't really paying attention.

TGIF

I am so excited that the weekend is here. Melanie has been working really hard all week which cuts down on my snuggle time. But Saturday is all mine and I'm going to use every minute of it. I am planning a park outing, a visit to Ashley's house and also a really long nap. I also hope to get a nice new bone to chew on and perhaps a special treat to go along with it. I'll let you know if it happens as I plan it to!
